The Ukrainian government made a decision to expand the boundaries of the water area of the port of Ust-Dunaisk. This was reported by the representative of the government in the Parliament, Taras Melnychuk.

The borders are being expanded in order to increase the cargo handling volumes of the seaports of the Danube region during the period of martial law, the government says.
The changes will affect, in particular, the location of anchorages near the mouth of Bystre for the raid transshipment of grain cargoes from the Ust-Dunaisk and Izmail seaports to vessels of the "Panamax" type.
At the same time, the number of ships in the Danube ports decreased by 2.5 times in a week after the Russian Federation had withdrawn from the grain agreement.
For example, the number of ships in the port of Ismail fell to 48 on Monday from 120 last week, according to the Marine Traffic monitoring program. 22 ships are expected to arrive.
The number of vessels in the port of Reni fell to 12 on Monday, compared to 58 last week. Another nine ships are expected to arrive.
The number of ships in the port of Izmail has been decreasing since Thursday, on Friday there were 113 ships in the port, 21 ships were expected to arrive. On Sunday, the number of ships fell to 99 and another 25 ships were waiting to arrive.
In the port of Reni there were 52 vessels on Thursday and 12 expected. On Sunday – 33 and 11 expected.
Ports of Great Odesa did not resume work after the termination of the grain initiative.
At the beginning of August, the Russians attacked the grain warehouses and elevators of the ports of the Danube cluster with drones. As a result, almost 40,000 tons of grain, which was expected by African countries, China, and Israel, were damaged.
"The port of Izmail suffered the greatest destruction. The sea station and infrastructure of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company, the key Ukrainian freight carrier on the Danube, were damaged," says Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.
